If you previously wanted to find out about your general state of health, you could use the “health check-up”.
1 x yearly
Every Austrian over the age of 19 is entitled to this examination once a year. But: Your body is only roughly “checked”.
Additional (chargeable) services
All-round care, on the other hand, includes more detailed consultations, examinations and tests, but these are not covered by social insurance.
These are:
Electrocardiogram
Spirometry
Complete blood count
Vaccination advice
Blood grouping
Kidney function test
Body mass index
HIV test
Vaccination titre and Covid AK determination
Prostate cancer test
Memory mood test
You can claim the benefits of all-round care individually. Your doctor will advise you on which tests are appropriate for you.The health insurance, on the other hand, includes more detailed consultations, examinations and tests, which are not covered by social insurance.
By the way: if there is a justified suspicion based on the free health check-up, you can take advantage of the extended preventive check-up on a sickness certificate!
